The embedded video on their awkward hugs page is rather dull, though, I must say. Good idea, but poorly executed.

What the hell is this?
It’s a Twitter account set up to pump out the entirety of Herman Melville’s classic novel, one tweet at a time.

How long will that take?
About three years.

Why?
Well, we analyzed the marketplace and realized that this was a niche that hadn’t yet been filled. That was a light bulb moment, you know, like wow. In fact, I’m considering including an entire chapter about that one moment in my memoirs, it was that epic.

How’d you get the text for this?
We had interns working around the clock, typing it in.

Is there a charge to read the tweets?
Not at this time, but we are working with our finance team to figure out the best way of monetizing this project.

Did you ever read Moby Dick yourself?
Yes, unfortunately.

This morning I ate three Sausage Biscuits from McDonald’s on my way into work. Big mistake – you should never order more than two breakfast sandwiches at a time.

Later in the day, while chatting with my coworkers, I made the claim that “That has to be just about the most calories you can get for a dollar, probably even more than a dollar’s worth of flour mixed with water.”

Most people would have left it at that, having better thing to do with their lives, but I didn’t. Here are the results of my study:

Sausage Biscuit: 680 Calories / $1.00 = 680 calories/dollar

Flour: 7500 Calories / $3.69 = 2032 calories/dollar

Flour is the clear winner.

And, I am the loser. Especially considering that I consumed 2040 calories by 9:15 in the morning.
